This journey moves at the pace of conversation rather than checklist, from the white marble grandeur of Muscat, into the grand canyons and turquoise pools of the interior wadis, up into the cool air of the Jebel Akhdar highlands, and out to a private camp beneath the dunes of the Sharqiya Sands.
Throughout, the focus is on small, characterful properties rather than international chains, and on moments, a shared kahwa, a turquoise wadi with no one else in sight, a night of total silence under the stars.

Arrival in Muscat.
Arrive into Muscat and settle into a luxury hotel property. The afternoon is left free to recover from travel; in the evening, a private welcome dinner introduces the rhythms of Omani hospitality, kahwa, dates, and conversation.

A leisurely morning exploring Old Muscat's forts and the Royal Opera House precinct, followed by a private guided visit with a local host who can open doors, literally, that few visitors ever see.

Day Three
Nizwa & Jabal Akhdar.
Depart Muscat for Nizwa, Oman's ancient interior capital. Explore the vibrant traditional market, visit Nizwa Fort, then continue to Birkat Al Mouz and the Alkhatmain falaj (UNESCO World Heritage) before ascending to Jebel Akhdar for the night.

A full day in the "Green Mountain" highlands, exploring ancient terraced villages perched at 2,000 metres, visiting a local rose-water distillery in season, and walking ancient falaj paths between stone-built communities.

Travel inland towards the Sharqiya Sands, pausing along quiet beaches where camels still wander to the water's edge. By late afternoon, arrive at a private luxury desert camp for sundowners on the dunes, a Bedouin-style dinner under lantern light, and a night of total silence beneath the stars.

Coastline & Wadis.
Depart the desert and head toward Oman's stunning eastern coastline. Visit Wadi Shab, a 45-minute walk through towering ochre cliffs to emerald pools and a hidden waterfall. Continue to the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole before returning to Muscat.
